In 1985 at the age of 24 Terry Hamilton wrote and recorded one of America's finest patriotic songs. Although the song went virtually unnoticed by the music world at the time, "Miss Liberty" today is truly a timeless classic.
On April 18th & 19th of 1985 at Suma Recording in Cleveland Ohio Terry Hamilton recorded one of his greatest compositions. Written in honor of the Statue of Liberty's 100th birthday and the restoration project that was underway at the time, Miss Liberty would become Terry's most celebrated work. President Ford wrote "Mrs. Ford and I truly enjoyed the patriotic lyrics" while former president Richard M. Nixon wrote "It catches the true spirit of our great lady". In a letter dated March 26th 1991 former president Ronald Reagan referred to "Miss Liberty" as "beautiful patriotic music". These are just a few of the comments used to describe this timeless classic. Miss Liberty has been shared with every president from Nixon to Obama and now we share it with all of America in celebration of it's 30th Anniversary.
