“My earliest childhood memory is that of my mother's sweet, gentle voice as she sang the old gospel hymn "Life's Railway to Heaven."  It was then and is still today the sweetest sound I've ever heard.  This album of my mother's favorite hymns is dedicated to her, sweet Emogene, the one who taught me how to love others unconditionally and what it means to be a true Christian.  I also want to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida for their tireless efforts and loving care during my most recent cancer battle.  And especially to my loving wife Donna, you are all truly God's earthly angels.  To all those who prayed for me and whose love and encouragement gave me the strength to battle on, you will never know how much your love has meant to me.  It is because of your prayers that I'm here today and was able to return to Nashville and finish this album that had been in the planning stages since the fall of 2011.  And to my dear friend David Frizzell without whose help this album would not have been possible, I thank you brother.  When it comes to country music icons no name is more legendary or influential than the Frizzell family name and it has been my honor to call you my friend for nearly three decades.  And lastly and most importantly to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who holds my hand through the curves, the fills and tunnels as we roll along the trestles of life's railway to heaven.  I thank you Lord for every precious day you have given me and pray this album will be a true blessing to all who hear it.” - Terry Hamilton
